Non-adiabatic ionization with tailored laser pulses

چکیده
Non-adiabatic photo-ionization is difficult to control as it relies on the derivatives of envelope and not phase-details short ionizing pulse. Here, we introduce a catalyzing state, whose presence render non-adiabatic ionization sensitive tailored pulses. Since state in general easy create, this opens perspective for coherent ultra-fast ionization.

Relativistic ionization-rescattering with tailored laser pulses
The interaction of relativistically strong tailored laser pulses with an atomic system is considered. Due to a special tailoring of the laser pulse, the suppression of the relativistic drift of the ionized electron and a dramatic enhancement of the rescattering probability is shown to be achievable. The high harmonic generation rate in the relativistic regime is calculated and shown to be incre...
متن کاملTailored-Beam Ultrashort Laser Pulses
Laser pulses with picosecond and femtosecond durations are now indispensable tools in many scientific disciplines. These ultrashort pulses provide unique temporal resolutions for investigations of phenomena taking place in comparable time ranges. In addition, optical energies squeezed into such short time windows yield extremely high peak powers and intensities, paving the way to generate unpre...
متن کاملMatrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization with ultrashort laser pulses
In our group, we perform successfully MALDI by using femtosecond laser techniques in order to examine the ionization process. One recent result is MALDI with ultrashort laser pulses in the near IR (central wavelength of =800 nm) [2]. In this wavelength regime, used matrix substances have no absorption bands. Experiments with different laser pulse durations suggest that multi photon ionization i...
متن کاملAdiabatic quantum computing with phase modulated laser pulses.
Implementation of quantum logical gates for multilevel systems is demonstrated through decoherence control under the quantum adiabatic method using simple phase modulated laser pulses. We make use of selective population inversion and Hamiltonian evolution with time to achieve such goals robustly instead of the standard unitary transformation language.
متن کاملH2 Double Ionization with Few-Cycle Laser Pulses
The temporal dynamics of double ionization of H2 has been investigated both experimentally and theoretically with few–cycle laser pulses. The main observables are the proton spectra associated to the H+ + H+ fragmentation channel. The model is based on the time–dependent Schrödinger equation and treats on the same level the electronic and nuclear coordinates. Therefore it allows to follow the u...
